Pre-Show preparations fall into two general categories, Strategic and Logistic, and unless addressed in that order, can become both expensive and ineffective.
In the STRATEGIC Category, you have:
- Show Choice – How valuable is this show to your current mission and goal?
- Products/Services – Which are best to exhibit at this event and how are they being supported (printed and electronic collateral material)?
- Audience – Which show(s) in which market(s) provide you the specific audience(s) you’re seeking?
- Goal Achieving – What question is asked and what information is sought from delegates?
- Staffing – Who, from what departments and with what role are running the booth?
- The Booth – What size/type/construction of booth or display is needed?
- Show Services – What “At Show” services are required? (Labor, Electrical, Drayage, etc.)
- Ancillary Events – What additional activities (dinners, tours, hospitality) might be required?
